Oak class Autumn term

We have been learning how to plan and carry out a scientific investigation this term. The children decided on what the variables would be in their investigation and how they would keep it fair. They made predictions, recorded their results and drew conclusions. Our investigations were in the context of Moon craters. Some children investigated how dropping the same stone from different heights affected the crater dimensions. Others changed the size, weight or shape of the rock and dropped it from the same height to investigate the crater impacts. It was great fun, if a little messy!
