Welcome to Amberley C of E Primary School

If so, we hope you will consider Amberley Primary School.

We are a small, home-from-home school with a family ethos where every child feels valued and safe.

We offer a broad and balanced curriculum in small, mixed classes, making the best possible use of our lovely grounds and amazing locality.

We would usually be holding Open Days to enable you to see the school at work, but due to increased Covid restrictions, we are unable to do so at present.

However, you are still very welcome to come for a tour of the school and to meet our Head of School, Mr Armitage.  He will be happy to answer any questions you may have, either during your visit, or by telephone or Zoom at another time.

Please call 01798 831612 to make an appointment, and we look forward

to meeting you soon.

School Opening Notice to Parents/Carers

6th January 2021

Following the announcement by the Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, on Monday evening, Amberley C of E Primary will now be closed to February half-term, at least.

Home Learning has now been implemented.  Please check your child's class page on the website regularly.  You will also receive regular communication via your child's class email regarding Home Learning.

There are limited places available for in-school provision for those who meet the guidelines given by the government.  Places are limited as we are seeking to minimise the number of children in school.  Should you think that you may meet the criteria for a place, please contact the School Office via email who will provide you with an application form to fill out and return.

Amberley School is set in beautiful surroundings close to the South Downs, near to Storrington.

We are a very small school and as such we know that all our staff have a very personal knowledge of every child and there is a real family atmosphere in the school.  We ensure that, whatever a child's abilities, our teaching is tailored to ensure that they advance and grow. We understand the importance of every day in each child's life and we believe that all our children have the right to the best possible learning experiences during their time with us. This is done through a range of academic and extra curricular activities such as Forest Schools, sports and creative activities.

We are a ‘Voluntary Controlled’ School which means that the Church of England maintains an active interest in the school whilst giving overall control to the Local Authority.  Amberley School has a high reputation for its caring, inclusive family ethos based on Christian values.  The Governors are all fully involved in the school’s life and we are also continually grateful for the wonderful help given to us by the parents and the wider community.

If you are looking for a school that has care and concern for children as individuals together with a strong family ethos, please do not hesitate to get in touch and arrange a visit.  We look forward to seeing you.

We hope you will find the information contained in this website both helpful and interesting, giving you clear insight into school life.
